Bucky & Anya Barnes

I made this little gift for the beautiful and lovely @zimnyayavdova and her Bucky. I just really felt like doing this for you. I hope you like it.

I didn't thought of a specific story behind this, except that Bucky is protecting Anya from something or someone.

PS: I didn't tagged your Bucky because the two of us aren't mutuals and I don't know if he's fine with me tagging him.

"well its the perfect place to start isn't it?" Miss static says. "if you have stage fright, that is no problem. i offer scripts if you have trouble remembering your thoughts!" she dumped a pile of papers on the table. where she got them from was a mystery. not to mention the scripts...how was anyone supposed to know what they would think in the future...? and how did she even know their thoughts...???? the papers were mostly blank, some had scribbly lines on them. And some had incoherent sentences.

Wordgirl raised an eyebrow as she tried to decipher the words. They weren't gibberish but they were all jumbled together. It was hard to make them out. Though she noticed some words like "...help" and "trapped.." Wordgirl didn't pay immediate attention to them but she couldn't help but get a foreboding chill down her spine. "Thank you but I don't usually get stage fright." Wordgirl explained to the woman. "Though I want to know how long do you want me to do the interview?" Wordgirl asked. Huggy made monkey sounds which Wordgirl understood. She nodded to her sidekick before turning to Miss Static. "Huggy also wants to know if there are going to be any snacks provided." Wordgirl explained Meanwhile back where Miss Static first appeared then disappeared along with the local hero and her sidekick, everyone had cleared the area. Not because of the police, but because Professor Terror, the city's "guardian" showed up. He looked a bit frantic and frazzled for some reason while he was carrying some tech with him. No one wanted to dare ask the villain what was wrong or risk getting on his bad side which was the near equivalent of a death sentence. "Come on,,come on. Show me your signature already." Professor Terror grumbled as he was scanning the area where Miss Static stood with a device that could detect electrical and ionized energy. This would allow the villain to be able to track down his child's abductor. Normally Steven would stay out of his child facing villains, even new ones. He knew and trusted Becky and Bob to be able to take care of themselves, but his parental instincts were working overtime ever since he saw the new resident, Miss Static, take his child and her monkey in a flash of light. His paternal side was screaming at his logical side that a complete stranger that Becky was clearly just trying to help took their child to who knows where! That was what was pushing Terror to quickly find his child, his mind fueled with rage and worry at what she was going through right now. Though he wasn't planning to barge in and go nuclear on Miss Static. Not yet. He knew better now. He was going to prepare himself to be ready to kick this person's butt.

And I refuse to process everything that happens after because that image is too precious and comforting, and because they could have had it all, but the narrative is a mess, and Jesus!Viktor never thought his bitter ex would come back to take revenge and set his own terms in the divorce—I want to cry.

Both Clementine and Janus are from the same litter. I was considering giving them some more same-age siblings, but in that scenario... RIP Lucy Gray. They are tiny compared to Coriolanus but above average for Red Fox standards. Girly was STRUGGLING T^T.

Both of them will show some of their Borzoi traits later in age but as of right now they look like normal fox pups 🦊 Rosie will be the one who has most of her fathers physical traitmarks!

It's really interesting that Wynne actually has quite a measured, bordering on downright sympathetic response to hearing what Jowan did in the prologue -- if the mage Warden says "I still can't believe Jowan was that stupid", her answer is something like a thoughtful "Stupid, or desperate, or merely curious?". She seems to think of Jowan as a kid who got in over his head, rather than any less charitable interpretation. I do believe she genuinely is as against blood magic as she publicly expresses and as the Circle party line demands, but as a private person she clearly has a more nuanced and potentially kinder understanding of the reasons why someone might resort to it, at the very least.

(related: when she says that part about Irving telling her what happened, there's no dialogue option in the first stage of the conversation (except choosing the 'leaving the conversation' one) that doesn't net you +2 approval! no matter how the warden feels about it, she is ready to recieve it. I think that says something sweet about how Wynne conceptualizes younger mages and the honest real affection she has for them. if you didn't snitch on jowan and say you stand by that decision, though? +3 approval, apparently! what Wynne says and what Wynne thinks is not always the same thing indeed, her idea of where personal loyalty and integrity stands vis-a-vis a mage's responsibility to the circle may be more flexible than she'd have people believe, you'll be surprised to learn lol)

I have always liked wynne and found her interesting, in all her hypocrisies and her earnest care, but with slightly older eyes she's extra fascinating to me in the same ways that Iron Bull is -- seeing someone whose mind has had hollows carved out in it by the need for double-think and compartmentalization imposed by the oppressive systems and ideologies they live under, and the quiet fight of the self to still preserve vital parts of itself that the system deems unacceptable in the hidden backstage areas of the soul, as it were. (and for both of them part of that self is love and protectiveness of specific other people, beyond what their 'role' dictates is acceptable for them.) I think Wynne has managed to sneak more of her internal self through the meatgrinder relatively intact than Bull overall, but it's the same logic underlying it, for me, and it makes me feel such intense affection and compassion for them both to see how hard they try
